As an example of obedience to government what did Paul and Silas do when the earthquake broke the stocks of everybody in their prison?
They remained there thus converting the jailer. Also this was an unjust imprisonment as both men were Roman citizens.

Paul was not the only one who counseled obedience. Why did Peter also advice obedience to government?
Peter advised this to put to silence the foolish men. This showed that Christians would obey the laws and not be a threat to government as the Jews were.
