Jesus asked the man to give up his wealth and follow Jesus. Because he was very rich he could not.

It’s been a better week. Thanks for the prayers. Working hard and hopefully things are getting better. We have a friend staying with us who is hopefully starting work on Monday.

This week since it is Lent let’s do the cross. While it is a religious symbol and medical symbol now, in Jesus time it was a feared method of execution. In fact Roman citizens could not be executed by crucifixion. So in the case of Paul he received the more merciful punishment of beheading. I’ll leave it to reader to decide whether it really was more merciful.
