Hello

A couple of weeks ago someone asked me what would happen if I chose to do a particliar sin. I explained that if I made that choice that God would most likely withdraw his favor from me and punish me for deliberate sinning. I also told them that I have seen it done to others who thought they could sneak sin by God.

We like to think of God as our loving Father. A God who loves us and also is patient with our foibles. In truth God does love us 2nd Peter 3:9 says that God wants all to come to repentance. His hand is always ready to forgive and welcome us back. But God also loves justice and law and will punish people for misdeeds. He also loves the church and will not see it turned into some anything goes feel good society. This is especially true for teachers as the book of James says that we will be judged with a stricter standard. So this week we are going to look at what happens in a few cases where God judged people within the church.
