David was on the run from Saul. But the people asked him to defend a border city of Judah. David went to God in prayer. God not only told him to defend the city and win a victory over the Philistines. God also warned David and his men to get out before Saul could trap them. What was the name of the city?

The name of the city was Keilah. It was a border town between Judah and Philistia. God was with David throughout this operation

Hello,

Another busy week. Some good news in that a good friend was able to join us for breakfast today. He has a lot of health issues and we have been praying for him. I’m very glad to see God helping him.

The first Thursday of May is the National Day of Prayer. Whatever your political persuasion I think we can all agree that our country could use some prayer. Officially this day has been established since 1952. Prior to that the President would call for a national day of prayer, usually in response to something. Here is the web site where you can find a prayer for unity also a lot more information.

In the light of this we are going to do prayers of King David. One of the great Kings of Israel he prayed often. We are going to ask about 6 of the times King David communicated with God.
