Weekly Update 01/31/2021

Hello,

Friday the 29th I called it a career. It’s time for the next chapter of my life. There was a lot of festivities and the company was generous getting me a nice fitbit watch. I worked up to the time I left with one guy calling and saying they told him to ask for the guy leaving today. After handling his issue the younger engineer working with me suggested I leave before the phone rings again. The guys at church were nice changing the men’s conference into a combination conference and retirement party for me. Great guys, I’m looking forward to more time with them.

My young friend is staying the weekend and I was able the tell the folks he lives with. If the weather is bad I will just drive him back on Monday. After all I’m off. But I will be busy either way there is lots to do. Spent today driving the girlfriend’s kid to work and back and my young friend to get a haircut. Worked on the snowblower got it ready. My new life looks like it will be hack driver by day and hack writer by night. I still have to figure out how I’m getting paid for all of this. Guess the reward is in heaven at this point.

Since I’m officially now an old man let’s do a week on old men in the Bible.

Thanks for the comments and questions. I always enjoy them because it means people are reading.
