Significantly, one of the first things done in the church was the appointment of deacons. Why did the Apostles appoint deacons?

Deacons were to assist the apostles.  Allowing them to spend more time in prayer also the ministry of the word.

Sorry to say the Jewish priests did not continue in the study of the word as taught by Moses. Hosea prophet of God preached against this. What did he say would happen to the people as a result of their ignorance?

God said, the people would be destroyed because of their lack of knowledge. Also he would reject the priests who rejected knowledge.

God commanded Bible study early in the Bible.  Specifically who did God use to command the study of God’s word among the Hebrews?

Moses commanded it specifically in the Book of Deuteronomy.

Hello,

As we continue in Lent this week the topic is Bible Study. Bible study in addition to allowing you to answer the trivia questions it will tell you what God expects of you. It also let’s you discern whether preaching is faithful to the Bible or not. God’s word is very helpful and often offers advice if you or someone you know is facing a challenge. Show them God’s word and when they read it they can decide for themselves. Personally I keep a Bible program on my cellphone for just that purpose. My own favorite is AndBible but there are many good programs available. I highly recommend having one. You can get them from the various apps stores.
