We are Hophni and Phinehas sons of Eli the priest. Our father warned to stop stealing the offerings among other bad behavior. But we did not listen and God had us killed wiping out Eli’s line.

I am Jacob of course. I deceived my father to get his blessing. I was in turn deceived by my father in law about my wives and splitting up the animals when I left.

Busy at work and then Saturday working on the church all day. Tech stuff but still I’m tired.

The topic for this week is fraud. Fraud then as now was quite prevalent. It sometimes doesn’t even seem a sin.; But yet god counts it one and disproves often in the Bible about it. Part of the problem with fraud is that is destroys the fabric of society by destroying trust among people.
