King Artaxerxes trusted Nehemiah to rebuild Jerusalem. Part of this was because of long association with him. Why did the King trust Nehemiah?

Nehemiah was cup bearer to King Artaxerxes. A Cup-bearer is responsible for serving the King wine.  Also the Cup-bearer also makes sure the wine is safe to drink IE no poison in it. This often meant drinking the wine before the King drank it. It was a very senior security detail position.

Genesis Chapters 41 to 47

Hello,

Ahh blessed air conditioning . It’s wonderful to have some air conditioning in my room today And it’s finally starting to cool down after running for several hours . Been a long weekend also I’m been awfully tired summer seems to be tiring me out. But other than that things are going well. Also my friend who has pancreatic cancer had some good news in that the mass seems to be getting smaller. That is a good thing and please keep him in prayer. I’m also trying the new windows dictation function we shall see how it works.

Since it is the 4th of July this week we’re going to continue this year with another section of government and the Christian. This week we’re going to do bureaucrats of the Bible. This is a topic that is interesting to me. My family you see have been government bureaucrats for quite awhile indeed we’re now into the third generation working for the government. I however am not a government bureaucrat having been in private industry my whole career.
