Aquila and Priscilla a married couple were also friends of Paul. They helped spread the Gospel and had at least one house church. Where did they meet Paul?

Aquila and Priscilla met Paul in Corinth. They were Jews and tent makers. They worked with Paul both at their trade and in spreading the Gospel

Acts 18:2-3

This man helped spread the Gospel throughout the New Testament. He would do everything from carrying a letter to preaching. He helped several other apostles. Also he used two names. Who was this versatile helper?

His names are Silas also Silvanus. He helped from the early church in Jerusalem, went on the 2nd Missionary Journey with Paul. Peter trusted him with 1st Peter to carry it to the churches and deliver it to them.

I was hoping for an easy day. I planned to work on my office. God had other plans. I had arranged to assist a fellow church member this morning with a trip to the \Post Office. She does not drive anymore. A bit of mission creep later and done. But by that time I had another request to assist in picking up glasses for someone and then my girlfriend called needing a ride to the store and her son needed a ride a job interview. He did get the job. Basically spent the afternoon driving people around or as we call it being a Chuber driver. Hopefully my office will be up by next week.

That brings up a good topic for this week. There are a lot of Christians who spend their time just working in the background helping the church and it’s members. Most of the time they receive very little credit which is as they prefer. But let’s spend a week and remember those in the bible who cared for their brothers and sisters. The laborers who make the church a little better place for all.
