This is Cornelius. At the time he prayed he was a Roman Centurion and while a believer in God was not a Christian. Following the angel’s request he sent for Peter which resulted in Gentiles becoming followers of Christ and also members of the church. Before this the church was restricted to Jews.

Isaiah 38:1-8

Hello,

It’s been a tough week. I am having some issues in my life and I am praying for guidance from God. Your prayers would be appreciated. It is not health related but for now I don’t want to put it out in public so let’s leave it at unspoken for now. Otherwise fall is definitely here and soon the air conditioners will go to the garage for the winter It is getting cleaner and now I can reach the back of the garage without moving things.

The topic this week is, praying for guidance I have been doing a lot of that lately and hopefully a study will help me do more to seek God’s will.
